- Process Not Product.
Say good-bye to short rehearsal periods. Good work needs to be
nurtured through time and experimentation.
- Back to the Future.
What has gone before informs what lies beyond. We recycle the forgotten, reshape the familiar and rekindle the rejected. Ideas, sets, props, causes, methods, masks, puppets, ideologies – everything is ruled in, nothing is ruled out.
- Diverse.
Brazil is the hybrid product of different cultures fusing together. Our collective is formed from many nations including the UK, Brazil, Spain, the US, Australia, Japan and Uruguay.
- Fuck physical theatre. All theatre is physical no matter who or how or what or when or when. Our approach has been dubbed “physical theatre” but has, in fact, its roots in Brazilian visual theatre. We are not ashamed of a healthy interest in text and how text can interact with performance.
- No end-of-line product.
Our work is never completed but remains ongoing, constantly evaluated, re-tuned, explored and developed.
We are strongly committed to bringing pioneering new work for new audiences in the London area where we are based and taking it to the rest of the UK and the world.
