Vania Cardoso (Marialice) Born in Brazil and trained at Casas das Artes de Laranjeiras. Trained with Philippe Gaulier and has been working in France, Italy, Brazil and the UK in Cabarets, television and theatre productions.

Montserrat Gili (Petunia) Trained in Spain and London (Ecole Philippe Gaulier, John Wright, Complicite); worked professionally in Spain and Japan and since 1996 in the UK. Teaches regularly Physical Theatre at Mountview Drama School. Also performed in Dende’s OneFourSeven

Bob Karper (Roberio) Cabaret performer/actor/musician, was in Dende’s OneFourSeven & several London productions. Stages his street show Accordion Karaoke at UK festivals & solo show That’s me on the Left, in the Parka in Edinburgh, Prague, London & this May at the Nightingale Theatre in Brighton.

George Keeler (Alfredo) Trained at the Poor School & Ecole Philippe Gaulier. Theatre credits: Cartoon De Salvo’s Chain Gang Gang, JongleurD’Amour, 12th Night, King Lear & The Black Monk. Film credits: the Bafta-nominated Best Short 2001 GoingDown. TV: Eastenders, London Burning & Nighty night.

Hiroe Komai (Set Designer Assistant) Artist born in Kyoto. BA in Fine Art at Camberwell College of Arts & MA at Goldsmiths. Makes architectural sculpture and made all props in Dende’s OneFourSeven.

Catherine Mobley (Delilah). Was in Dende’s OneFourSeven. Theatre credits: I Eat Alou Gobhi Inni for 1Nation Under a Groove, Snap’s My Beautiful Laundrette, The Garnett Foundation’s Crossing the Line. Film credits: M e, my swamy and I ( Coup de Grace - Short).

Mark O’Thomas (Writer) Is a British playwright, screenwriter and translator. His first play was commissioned and produced by Soho Theatre Company and opened its new home in Dean Street, W1. This was followed by Salvador at the Man in the Moon, which was Critics' Choice in Time Out, Viva Maria! with Dende Collective, The Piranha Lounge and Down Dog, Edinburgh Festival 2003. He is currently script advisor to the Royal Court International Department and is researching the relationship between translation theory, adaptation and the devising process.

Patrizia Paolini (Barbosa) Drama graduate from Rome. Trained at Ecole Philippe Gaulier in London. Performed for Dende (OneFourSeven) CPT (The Manner Born, In Cahoots) & Ridiculismus (The Exhibitionist). Devised two one-woman shows: Where are you from? & What Else?

Andre Pink (Director, Set Designer, Masks) Andre got a degree in theatre directing at the Universidade de São Paulo. He has been working as a professional director in Brazil since 1990 and his work was prized in Brazilian festivals. He relocated to London in 1996 as a recipient of a Brazilian grant by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture that allowed him to train with Phillipe Gaulier amongst others. Andre co-founded the Anglo-Brazilian theatre company DENDE COLLECTIVE in 1999. Andre has directed all its plays to date. In 2001 a Japanese grant allowed him to study Noh and Kyogen in Tokyo. He has been teaching and directing at Mountview Academy of Dramatic Arts, Queen Mary and Westfield College, the Method Studio, Saint Martin’s School of Design, School of Science of Acting, and courses to young people all over the UK and Brazil. He is also a mask-maker and a mask teacher.

Christopher Pye (Lighting Designer) is weeks away from completing BA Lighting Design at The Central School of Speech & Drama. Recent work includes Jesus Christ Superstar (New Theatre Cardiff), The Kitchen (Embassy Theatre), Golden Balls (Old Red Lion) & Nighthunters.

Mark Reid (Og & Barbara) trained in Melbourne and has worked extensively in the stand-up/ sketch comedy circuit in Australia. Since coming to London has performed and trained in devised and physical theatre with John Wright and Gerry Flanagan.
